    The Sea Inside

The Sea Inside is a very compelling work of an individual's fight for the right to die with dignity. We have had other similar themed movies and documentaries but none so tenacious as this one. El senor Sampredo fights tooth and nail alongside the two women in his life. It thus makes for an unimaginable Oscar Nominated Turn for Javier Bardem, but his long personal battle can weigh one down from dreariness and hopelessness. I do believe the film can become much too dark and stark for many people, especially those fighting chronic or life-threatening problems. It is quite an important film, but it had me on tender hooks as I was facing severe problems at the time.
