    The Tempest

Julie Taymor's take on Shakespeare is somewhat brash and bold. It can also be thought of as an acquired taste. Having played Elizabeth II (the Queen) and Elizabeth (tv miniseries about Elizabeth I);Helen Mirren now plays the mistress of her very own island. Perhaps a portait of the Iron Lady (Margaret Thatcher) is next. This filmed experiment in trendy Shakespeare is not entirely successful. However, where again are you likely to find Helen Mirren and Chris Cooper and Russel Brand (!) and Alfred Molina all emoting Shakespeare.
