The Wrecking Crew can only be a great or interesting film if one is interested in their music, which I am not!
However, I want to investigate all I can, whether to my liking or not from the salient point about wanting to know as much as I can about a whole host of subjects.
This DOC literally and foremost hurls the music behind the faces, very important. I recognize this is quite a sentimental documentary revolving around this cabal of musicians of sizable proportions, these musicians and sessions fluent in ROCK, SOUL, COUNTRY, more' and literally getting out of the way, so to speak! Astounding! It's all something something I recognize on a very rational level! The West Coast Sound created in the 60's and 70's is amazing and one that is dazzling for those of that era or those that revere that kind of music. It is a world class sound. One only needs count the number of consecutive Emmys won in a row.
I guess I can admit it was a one and only kind of sound that dominated so long, but I have NOT much passion for it though I do recognize the great achievements they attained. I hate to be so stingy, but I have to be fair in terms of what I saw!
