Hard to define, although I keep getting "unfulfilled" as a dominating thought.
My showing had some poor audience behaviour, noisy, chatty, phones on etc. Where's a truant officer when needed?
This had some premise, certainly well funded, not a unique idea but enough on the bones to work with. It even has a worthy cause.
Ends up flat as a pancake, utterly unmemorable dialogue, disconnected progression and theme development.
Cute tho', some very good looking technical application.
The script may have read well, George Clooney is usually a guarantee of quality. He seemed very mailed in here. Hugh Laurie too, as undistinguished as I've ever seen him.
Britt Robertson was able enough, her star is rising.
Tim McGraw nearly suppressed but not his fault.
Shining light, absolutely Raffey Cassidy, good emotive performance while not being emotional, very mature, well balanced effort.
Lot of talk about how Disney-esque this is, but I didn't past a whiff of that.
Made for half the budget, this might have been better off. Too much effort to be clever, doesn't make it.
