    Twelve O'Clock High

This feature is considered a very gritty film of WW II with a brilliant cast of men including Oscar Nominee Gregory Peck and Best Supporting Oscar Winner Dean Jagger for this 1949 release. This film that deals with a bomber squad expedition led by General Savage (Peck) is remarkably realistic. Authentic aerial battle footage gives us a true taste of how horrendous it must have all been, how the war took its toll on almost everyone. I'm not a great lover of war films, but this film is a masterpiece so I dare not go below a 7. It is a must see film especially aficionados of war drama.
