    Vincent & Theo

An absolute gut wrenching film about Van Gogh and his brother (Vincent and Theo.) I think it is one of the best bio-pics of the famous artist, from famed director Robert Altman which took me by surprise. The rustic locales are surely as realistic as when Vincent inhabited them. Very very great performance from the entire cast. If you love Van Gogh painting, this is a must see. It so lamentable that poor Vincent sold only one painting in his lifetime and as depicted in the film, the unknown buyer was his own brother Theo. What a sad, torturous life, especially as Vincent definitely had mental illness, what one might call bi-polarism today!
