Walking the Camino: Six Ways to Santiago

Lots of heart but not enough substance to rise above other documentaries. This film follows different people that have decided to do the 500-mile trek of the Camino Pilgrimage to some big church in Santiago. As they pass through the different regions, you'll be thinking like an El Grande! (I have no idea if that makes any contextual sense) It's noticeably religious as is normal for this type of spiritual journey. Some of the people's stories are better than others and I did get moved to tears once. But it really moves along at a snail's pace and although it's got great feel-good qualities, it's not fantastic in terms of execution. Bad date movie. Still the film makes a strong case for what this type of adventure does for the soul.
