    Documentary on Writer Robert Drake

    2013... Pamela Drynan

This senseless tragedy of the gay bashing of American writer ROBERT DRAKE in Ireland over 10 years ago shows the wicked, diabolical side of human nature. It's a tragic account that happens over and over again worldwide. Two Irishmen beat Robert Drake senseless. Mr. Drake is permanently brain damaged, in a wheel chair and what is most disturbing of all, it ended a promising writing career. In a move for some permanent healing, Mr. Drake decides on a bold plan of action. Why is it that some hate so deeply to commit acts of such revolting violence on innocent persons of different sexual orientation who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? It's impossible to explain these vile acts as the perpetrators' lives are not the least bit threatened or even slightly affected by someone who happens to be different, be it sexual preference, race, religion, even political. What it shows is that pure EVIL has and always will exist in our society.
