It's hard to not give this movie a high rating because everything's there; the screenplay, the direction, the acting, the breathtaking fashion and the realism of the man's life. My problem is with the extensive debauchery and sexual content. It didn't take long to figure out the torment in the man's soul and how he dealt with it on his own time. Did it have to be so overtly displayed and exploited? I guess it's what sells movies? He was represented as a thoughtful and considerate man on the other hand and I personally would've liked to see more of that and less cocaine lines on a hand mirror. But putting that aside, it is quality cinema with a high level of artistic content, so if biographies interest you or haute couture, you might want to look into this one.
