If one is of a certain age, one would have read or seen telecasts about this troubling time in Northern Ireland on a daily basis. History has taught the rest of us the horrors of that period which would " ALMOST " be akin to the Middle East of today. Unfortunately, as good as this movie is, it is not the type of movie the general public wants to see in North America, so much the sadder. One British soldier's trials and tribulations back in 1971 for me becomes an allegory of the entire madness, the conflagration of 71.
