This movie seems to be getting mixed reviews, which I totally expected. I, for one, really enjoyed it. It was Sam Raimi returning to the genre that made him... the B-Horror world of slightly comedic freaky movies. That being said, I thought the acting was ok. I've seen better in horror movies. Justin Long really doesn't do himself justice in this one, even though he's not the lead per say. But this movie isn't about acting, it's about chills, and it certainly does deliver them, and plenty... even in certain daytime scenes, which to me is the mark of a good horror movie. It's easy to give people the creeps in night scenes... but to do so in broad daylight takes great directing. This is definitely a throwback to the old low-budget horror flicks, so people who love the big budget remakes of Japanese horror flicks and such may not appreciate this one. But fans of the actual B-Horror movies will dig it! Welcome Back Sam Raimi, and let's hope you'll make another one of these within the next 4-5 years... maybe a new Evil Dead?!!! 7/10, Good movie, worth seeing (if you like the low budget feel of horror movies)
