I went into this movie with absolutely no expectations, and still it managed to disappoint me. Let me set the record straight: I had seen the first movie (The Fast & The Furious) and the third movie (Tokyo Drift), but not the 2nd one (as I simply cannot stand Tyrese as an actor, and it didn't look that good back in the day) I loved the first movie, and I actually enjoyed the third one too. But this one, just plain Fast & Furious, is pretty bad. Cheezy one-liners, cute female faces that can't act (is it just me, or has Michelle Rodriguez gotten work done on her teeth and chest, and in the process lost whatever acting abilities she had? ).. and Jordana Brewster, don't quit your day job, or rather, get one if you don't have one, or just become a model. So what's wrong with this movie? What's not wrong with it is more like it!!! A bad story that tries too much to pull at your heart strings but seriously falls flat. Bad acting from everyone. An Indiana Jones type car chase in an under-mountain tunnel scene with cars jumping without hitting the visibly very low cave roof. New people infiltrating way too fast and too easily a supposedly top secret criminal organization lead by an unknown and untraceable bad guy. Did I mention bad writing, cheezy one-liners, and the worst charicature "bad boy drivers" ever... Again, let me reiterate... I loved the first one, and I was pleasantly surprised by the third one, so I do consider myself a fan of the series in general... but this one just irked me... if they were trying to make a parody of their own franchise, then I'd give it a high rating, as this is much more a parody than a good action movie. 5/10, a generous one at that... it was so, so, I didn't even pay and I'm not sure it was worth it anyway!
