Clint does it again. This is a small movie with a lot of heart and great morals, much like his Million Dollar Baby. Clint directed Gran Torino with his trademark touch. Perfectly paced, with excellent performances (Clint shines in the grumpy and angry starring role), and just the right background music. Gran Torino is definitely Oscar-worthy in my books. I would give it several nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Clint), Best Original Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actress (for the incredible performance by the girl that plays his neighbour!) Hollywood needs more small movies with great stories and touching morals, and less remakes of movies that aren't even 15 or 20 years old. If rumours are true that this may be Clint's final acting role, he's going out with a bang! As long as he keeps directing gems like this, I'll be anxiously awaiting his next directorial offering. This is a most excellent movie, a must see in my opinion, for the overall story, for the great morals, for the superb performances, and most importantly, for getting your money's worth!!! 9/10, solid, without hesitation.

How about an award for Clint for OVER ACTING? This movie is miles and miles away from million dollar baby.
