This film is not how I like to remember Marilyn Monroe even though it is the usual romantic comedy genre for which she is known. Though directed by George Cukor, an excellent director, especially sensitive to women in film, it lacks the quality that makes the comedy jump to life... a 'theatrical story complicated by mistaken identity.' Yves Montand is not one of her better co-stars as later was the case with Laurence Olivier in 'The Prince and The Showgirl' in which Marilyn outshone Lord Loivier.
