Daniel Day-Lewis hand picks his roles and did the best he could with this role as did all the gorgeous women in musical talent. But NINE which won the Tony on Broadway is not a conventional musical bases as it is on the '81/2' film by Federico Fellini. I did not find the music inspirational in any way. This dreamy, romance with intellect simply did not transfer well on the screen as did CHICAGO, the previous film by Rob Marshall.
