I welcome 'Risen' as a historical and biblical document which does not diverge from the truth in the eyes of a believer, one who has true faith. I seem to want to make a small connection with 'The Robe', the first movie in CinemaScope from 1953 with similar facts and ideas. Richard Burton's Roman Tribune of The Robe corresponds in certain ways to the Clavius of Joseph Fiennes, who is charged with a grave, onerous task. Much of what we see on screen has been dealt with many times before, but that is hardly a negative even faced with a given number of scenes that paint difficulty and suffering in an era that saw the origins of Christianity.
