Definitely 10/10!. I have been reading the reviews and I am baffled trying to figure out how anyone, accounting for personal taste and pre-set ideas of long time trekkies, can rate this movie less than, let us say, 8 out of 10. It is true that there are some unexpected events as certain planet destruction, unexpected kissing that may contravene certain ancient written rules, things like that. The story isn't complex, some will find gaps, others will feel that erroneous interpretations of scientific principles already reviewed during TOS, and so on. All this will feed heated discussions after the movie. The truth is, that the execution is flawless. The film moves along at a perfect pace. When it slows down, it's ready to go again. In the end, ST leaves you wanting for more; you wish that it were just getting started, but 2 hours have gone by. The new actors are ALL spot on. I am sorry if I am committing Star Trek sacrilege here, but they may be even better that the original cast. The sound and the special effects are finally what we should come to expect, much better than before. GO SEE THIS MOVIE, with an open mind... YOU WILL LIKE IT.
