An absolutely stellar film on law students and law school and all the ambitions that go along with such an endeavour. Timothy Hutton is terrific as a student who wants to impress not only his g. f. but the strictest law professor at what I would presume is an Ivy League School. John Houseman who was not originally slated for the role of the professor is pure gold in a role that garnered the producer/actor Best Supporting Actor of 1973, a richly deserved honour.
