I missed this film as a theatrical release but have finally seen it on DVD to my great admiration. It was a treat, literally a treat to witness a teen story like we got in the 80's... no vampires, no zombies, no werewolves... just a truthful tale of a very unlikely romance and a movie that has no easy and tidy answers to the problems of life that face both young people and older ones as well. The work of Miles Teller as Sutter and Shailene Woodley as Aimee definitely struck a chord with me. It was pretty shocking to read how a number of writers found no chemistry between these two young stars. For me it worked totally! Amazing how differently we can view a specific work of art!!!
