A bigger step-up from Part 1, and the strengthening dark contrast continually builds purpose and intrigue in this dark stage of the Harry Potter saga. I honestly believe this one should be longer than part 1, but Part 2 is still good. Definitely wondering about a couple of Oscar nods for Alan Rickman as Severous Snape, visual effects and cinematography. I have to say that David Yates really is not a strong director. He plays it safe while giving the audience a more imaginative view. I can appreciate his style, but I certainly was expecting more out of a substantial 2-parted Harry Potter final. This one can be inconsistently paced, but certainly leaves the audience with plenty of grace.
