If you are contrasting someone with Christopher Nolan, you contrast him with Michael Bay. Every movie Nolan makes gets deeper, darker, and better. It seems as if every movie Bay makes gets weaker, lighter, and cheesier than the last one. From The Island to Transformers. From "Transformers 2" to "I am Number 4." From "Transformers 3" to "I don't what because I never thought a movie could be worse than Transformers." What Michael Bay proves in "I Am Number 4" is he can make a movie even worse by splashing more special effects in it. 3D has saved Bay's career.
