Lizabeth Scott a frequent femme fatale during her career is the epitome of insane greed in Byron Haskin's decidedly 'B' film noir. It's an unsettling feature from Republic in 1949. It might be a B film but it's pretty fascinating and ranks higher in my books. Recently restored, it's well worth a look for lovers of noir.
