Better than the second reboot but not by much. Like the others, every cast member seems to get the chance to shine at the expense of Kirk and he's dumbed down for them to shine which I found annoying. The action sequences are a bit boring and about 20 minutes could have been chopped off the movie with no ill effect. The plot might have been okay with a TV show but for a movie, it was pretty thin. I was nice to see Shatner get a little bit of respect near the end of the film.
