This is by far, one of the mos refreshing comedies I've seen in a long, long time. Peculiar in its brand of honesty, this movie really has something special to it. First of, an outrageous cast that could not have been better picked. From the grandfather, to the withdrawn brother, to the mother, father, etc... everyone was played to perfection. You could not have found a better cast. Who knew the 40 year old virgin could play a 40 year old homosexual scholar on the verge of suicide? Well he does that and very well. Greg Kinnear is both hilarious and extraordinary as the obssessed father trying to make it in the world with his positive thinking. Anyway you look at it, its fresh. From the story, to the jokes, this movie is an unexpected taste of ice cool lemonade in a hot summer. Its that good (if you like low-budget, original comedies that is)
