Critics hardly know anything about good movies, it's not brilliant, just boring, good acting doesn't make a movie, realism and an interesting plot does. Citizen Kane has none of this.

You have a lot to learn about classic black and white "noire" movies. Firstly, when this movie was made it wasn't just about the acting. It was about the high standard of production value that "Citizen Kane" offered the viewer. The set designer used designs that were way ahead of their time. The use of lighting to give some of the sets a dreamlike quality that weren't seen before. Let us not forget this was in the very beginning of movie making. There were no computer effects. People had to use their imagination. It wasn't the mass produced crap like they have today. If you had a little more life experience under your belt you would know this. Citizen Kane is considered a masterpiece by most people who actually know what they are talking about. [...]
