I think alot of people go to see this movie with blockbuster expectations because of all the award buzz... At times the movie did get very graphic (luved that) and real, almost coming off as a depressing movie... but this is not a movie about the world of wrestling it goes far beyond that. You can place "the ram's" luv for wrestling to any passion for anything that others dont and can't really understand, its about second chances, and really sheds light on what a 'star' or sports player experience after the fame is gone... it's not about his family or the stripper and thats why their stories are not really looked at in depth... it's a beautiful story if you connect with the movie, however I can understand how some people miss the whole thing or just dont connect. Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei and the daughter were amazing... ! Must see... !
