My take on this movie is that its take on the Spartan soldiers was heroic, for when you are faced with a challenge. You can either let it defeat you or rise up like these men do and sooner or later, the big guns won't stand for the oppression any longer, as it has been said. Marianne Williamson- "Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure, it is our light not our darkness that most frightens us..." So when we speak of why the bravery and call to action this army of 300 Soldiers, it gave the leaders of Greece and the citizens for that matter the courage to not take resistance from anyone.
