Deathly Hallows Part 1 sticks with you. It's the first Harry Potter film that doesn't focus on just the magic, it focuses on many very important things that needed to be touched on to make people love the characters to an extent that they feel almost apart of your life. None of the Harry Potter films are great films, but it doesn't mean the characters aren't great. In this case scenario, you need great characters that have emotionally connected with audiences in Harry Potter or else there's no reason why anyone would watch these movies. The entire series is about character, and the diversity each character has, and it even shows their growth in maturity. That's how deep the characters have been portrayed in this series, and it's probably one of the best character series' ever made. The Deathly Hallows is all about character. Actually, the term "The Deathly Hallows" isn't referenced until at least 1hr 40min into the picture. This movie builds an even stronger relationship with us and the characters in the film, and it's at the right place at the right time. It's at the point in the series where Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint have fully developed into great actors, and when you combine the character development in The Deathly Hallows Part 1 with great acting, it results in a very powerful film. This is a great setup for Part 2 because it develops the characters so there's an immediate powerful relationship between the Harry Potter characters and the audience before the epic finale in July. No, it wasn't the best Harry Potter movie because the theme is still based on magic, and very little of that was shown in this film, however, the end result is exciting. The film ends in a spot where the darkness just got darker, and the adventure just got scarier. Overall, the film sort of slides away from what the theme and story is suppose to be leaning towards (The Deathly Hallows), however, it was a good setup for Part 2. Can't wait!
