Life of Pi is the latest film from director Ang Lee and it is nothing short of spectacular. The story, considered un-filmable by some, recounts the trials of an Indian boy adrift at sea in a tiny lifeboat, who must learn to co-exist with his fellow cast-away, which in this case is a full grown Bengal Tiger named Richard Parker. It sounds absurd, even laughable, yet this film is nothing short of a miraculous achievement in pretty much every category. Shot in glorious 3D, the visuals are breathtaking. If there was ever a film that needed to be seen in theaters this is it. The one-man acting show put on by Suraj Sharma is certainly Oscar worthy and the animals on display, particularly Richard Parker, will have even the coldest of viewers smiling in awe. A superb film, one that will stick with you long after you've left the theater. Go see it and bring everyone you know with you.
