Once in a while a film comes along that reminds us what true story telling is. Life of Pi follows an Indian boy on his journey stranded in the ocean with only a wild tiger for a companion. The visuals in this film are stunning. The action and suspense are more heart-stopping than in a James Bond film. And the deeper meanings of constant faith and hope in times of trouble, were a real plus. This is a feel good movie, not without its tragedies, that constantly entertains. For anyone who feels the film is too long, perhaps this was done to give the audience a bit of the same feeling this poor boy had while lost at sea for months. This is a movie to sit back, relax and take an adventure right along with Pi.
