Maria Calass's portrayal of Medea in 1969, 5 years after her operatic career came to a grinding halt won't be to all tastes, but this Pier Paolo Pasolini venture has some notable worth while things. It definitely proves Callas was a great actor and a great singing actress. I think the historical value of this film is even more important than actually filming of another Medea. We have plenty of great classic views of this great play on film.
