Fritz lang's film set during WW II is slightly bizarre as the whole thing starts at an innocent looking fair and the winning of a cake. From there things start turning sinister almost at once and protagonist Ray Milland as Mr. Neale is embroiled in an assortment of dangers that keep coming at him with a vengeance. At times the film is a bit corny, but it makes its points well enough. One of Fritz Lang's lesser known films.
