    Searching for Sugar Man

Wow, I heard this was good, but this good? Never... I would rate it among the best 5 I've ever seen. The filmmaker/editor had a beautiful touch blending the raw black and white Detroit footage of the 70s with later colour footage of Capetown and other locals. The story was simply told, Rodriguez' songs effectively underscoring it. Naturally, I had not heard of him and I must say that his lyrics were really touching. I loved his voice, somebody was comparing it to Dylan, I cannot agree with that opinion, I felt it was much better. Having worked in doc filmmaking I can imaging the rush of finding long lost leads by the researchers.
