Séraphin, un homme et son péché

A rather compelling Canadian drama all taking taking place in 1889 Québec. I suppose the lesson learned here is that young love can't be thwarted. The film is quite authentic showing latter 19th century hardships that include economics and barbaric trade deals to secure a young lady's hand in marriage. One did what was of importance for one's family's good no matter the cost. Duty was at the forefront of all struggling families.
