Ok so what to say about a film that opens with star Jonah Hill performing cunnilingus? I guess why would be the only appropriate answer? But then you won't find much that makes sense in this pretty pitiful excuse for a comedy. It's crude, morally reprehensible, downright racist at times, yet it wants us to take the big dramatic "its ok to be gay" scene seriously. I felt bad for Hill, whose actually rather charming in an oafish kind of way. Thankfully, Sam Rockwell shows up to enliven the proceedings a bit as a gay drug dealer and the kids Hill's babysitting are also funny, but even they can't save this mess.
