    Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

I was disappointed by this film because the 1987 Wall Street was pretty punchy. The sequel is like a sappy drama. Was hard to get a read on Gecko because one time he'd be repentant and the next back to his good ol' ruthless self. Every scene that the female lead was in, drove me bonkers because she was a real wet blanket. The stakes weren't high enough in this film. Stone chose to mirror recent economic events, including the bank bailout by the government. I didn't think that gave the movie enough of a story. Would have been good if there was a big twist at the end where Leboef's character is set up by Gecko, but in a good way, to protect him from something James was working on. But the off-shore drilling versus solar polar thing was ho hum and came off a bit preachy.
