    Yellow Sky

A superb western from 'Wild" Bill Wellman with Gregory Peck in an uncharacteristic role as an outlaw. Yellow Sky happens to refer to a ghost town of prospecting days. The plot is slick and the characters don't always live up to what we expect... and that includes most of them. The action and the thrills are super in this well written, well regarded film from 1948. Peck comes off really well as a western frontiersman of sorts and Richard Widmark is truly a piece of work!!! Definitely a western to explore. !
