Elisabeth (Astrid Whettnall) and her 19-year- old daughter Élodie appear to live an idyllic existence in their cottage in the Belgian countryside. Elisabeth is not alarmed at first when Élodie fails to come home one night. It turns out that the young woman has been leading a double life and has departed to join ISIS in Syria, a shockingly incomprehensible turn of events for her mother.
