First off, time and time again there comes a horror/thriller teen movie that just stinks the water up. Then there comes a movie that isn't all that bad. The genre for teen horror/thriller movies is no different then the adult genre. The adult genre has there good movies and there bad ones. So, I'm sick of people saying how typical and lame teen thrillers are. Sure we've seen the likes of the not so good "The Skulls", and the decent "Cruel Intentions, and the good "Joy Ride". Sure Swim Fan wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worse, the acting was good, the story was creative, stereotypes were left out, you were surprised at some parts and not at others. People just need to go and see movies with an open mind and not pre-judge "typical teen horror flick it has to be bad! " Overall Swim Fan was a decent movie. If you catch it in theatres you might say the $ of admission was steep for it, but it wasn't that bad. Maybe just a rental.
