This was a decent blockbuster pic on its own- it is too bad it is a remake because there are inevitable comparisons when really, it stands on its own. There was a bit too much rabid chase and I wish they had developed the theme Malcolm McDowell states (I won't reveal it but they should have made it the key point of the film), overall with incredible effects and a more logical plot than the 1990 film, well-done and very VERY entertaining.
