Usually, I'm a big Spidey fan, and I've enjoyed all the movies to varying degrees. But, that's just it, 'all' the movies. What I didn't need was yet another, only slightly different version of the tale of Uncle Ben. There was nothing magnificent about this re-telling of the same old story. I also didn't enjoy waiting an hour before we even see a Spidey ski mask, so that I could watch a very so so love story unfold in the meantime. In my mind, I generally go to super hero movies to watch super heroes in action, not half-baked drama. I liked the actors, am actually a big Emma Stone fan even, the directing was fine, and when there finally was some action, it was still very good, however, the points above left me somewhat bored and disappointed as I imagine a lot of kids would find themselves as well. With Marvel movies, if they are going to go drama in favor of hero action, they should make it really compelling drama, at least.
