This film based on the 80's tv show of the same name could have been a real train-wreck. Fortunately, it works thanks in no small part to the dynamic duo of Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum and a clever script that pokes fun at the conventions of both buddy cop and high school movies of the past. Just when you think the film has run out of gas, it surprises you again and again with clever twists and some hilarious role reversals. Hill, dawning green tights and performing a dancing speech from Peter Pan while high on drugs is just one of many comedic gems this film has to offer. Johnny Depp, star of the original tv series has a brilliant cameo as well to add to the fun. Not for children but quite hilarious if you're in the right mood.
