This incredulously amazing film about the resistance during WW11 tugged at my heartstrings and perpetually made me think about the parallel to our present world. This historical genre based on truth wasn't familiar to me and I'm sure there will always be, sadly, more stories like these which are significant to tell and retell. The acting was stellar especially Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan displaying such passionate, soulful performances. It was a gripping plot that unfolded gradually with twists and turns and you knew that something so much bigger was evolving and then-the action never stopped. The cinematography without all the Hollywood hype and the great character development, made the story that much more compelling in this setting of the cruelest of times, where one suffered and endured. The film itself should be much better publicized; I had no knowledge of it. It deserves some Oscar nods including the formidable directing of the film. Despite the evil, the high cost for freedom and protection of loved ones and country, the story still leaves you with hope and belief in goodness. The extraordinary mission of these seven brave men and all who helped despite consequences, is not to be believed! We live because of these freedom fighters.
