Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Click here to show this review. I am new to comics and graphic novels, so I had no information about the comics when I saw this movie. I did, however, see it with a friend who is a die-hard comic book reader, and she happily explained the little details that I didn't quite catch. It was very helpful to have her explain, but I loved that Snyder made the movie more directed to comic-book fans, not bothering to cator to non-readers to understand the movie.

I thought all the actors portrayed their characters beautifully, especially Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, as I had doubts about her like many did. She was, without a doubt, the best portrayed character in this movie, with Ben Affleck a close second in my opinion.

The movie was long, but it covered some very important things such as why Batman wanted to kill Superman. I felt it was very justified, and it all felt paced properly. Still skeptical about Eisenberg's performance, though I enjoyed his acting, I'm not sure which character he was actually playing; Lex or his son?

The one main issue I had with this film was that Batman killed people; it did explain that he had grown "cruel" with branding criminals, but "cruel" and "going against ones morals" are very different things, as Batman never kills people. Hopefully this is more thoroughly explained, and I am excited to see the other films in this particular franchise.
