I doubt Pakistan will make as good a film any time soon. Most films out of that industry are an embarassment to mankind. Khuda que Liye (again by Shoaib Mansoor) was an exception to the rule. And so it this one. It packs a social punch and is very well handled. Be warned though that the film is very depressing and somewhat on the lengthy side. It's sort of exhausting too living through Zainab's life, but I'm quite certain it is meant to be that way. I wasn't convinced by the very over-the-top happy ending, but after a few hours of that family's turmoil, maybe it was needed.
