Concussion

"Concussion" is a fictionalised account of the discovery of CTE and the NFL's desire to avoid the inevitable scandal of pro sports' indifference to the health of its players. Football is, as the film claims, the new Sunday religion of the USA; it's the Roman Circus' gladiator games, too, just as hockey is in Canada, and it's a BIG BUSINESS. Even if you're not a pro sports fan you're affected by the games and so are your children. This well-acted & directed film casts light into some dark corners while being a gripping entertainment.
