This is a great movie from the Rocky series. The story is much more than just about boxing but deals also with adversity, aging, friendship, honour, illness, legacy, relationships, and strength. Sylvester Stallone, acting in his 7th movie as Rocky Balboa, gives an outstanding performance and steals the show. Sylvester Stallone’s name will always be synonymous with boxing films – just like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood are with western films. There is strong acting by everyone in this film - Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, etc…. The movie felt authentic by the convincing performances of the cast. Further realness was added to the film by using real life accredited boxers such as Tony Bellew, Andre Ward, etc… along with other actual boxing personalities. I appreciated the fact that the story kept to its roots. This film surpassed my expectations and is a must see!
