Strong on its own, or as another chapter in George Romero's "Dead" series," Day of the Dead" has a slow start that climaxes into a mix of paranoia, suspense and fear. For a film that was considered "low budget" the effects and sets are excellent, the characters compelling and the story builds to satisfying end. (On Dvd, January 2012)
