A very good film. 2-3/4 hours seems very long on paper, but the long length allows enough time for the detail required to keep the plot accessible. Some reviewers complained about implausible science; I think it would be better to say that the science is unproven; after all, even Star Trek and Star Wars relied on unproven/unknown science. Christopher Nolan, as director, and Matthew McConaughey, as the principal character, keep the story moving along. I got very little from Anne Hathaway's character, but I felt that Jessica Chastain was very good. But given that the opening premise of the film is that the earth is dying, it is important to note that the message at the end is one of hope.
