This movie is emotional on so many levels. The dichotomy between father and son, long married husband and wife, between family members in an emotionally distant family. No one is a cardboard cutout in this film - each character at some point steps out of their "stereotype" and shows another side of themselves - just as in real life there are no pure good nor pure bad people. The movie's slow pace mirrors the reality of life as most people know it. But in that slow pace we are given the time to see the characters truly unfolding. This movie might not be for everyone, but it is a thoughtful and engaging film and should be seen by serious movie aficionados.
